COVID-19 LIVE TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS (27-30 MAY 2020)
From May 27 to 30, the virtual Poomsae competition called «COVID-19 Live Taekwondo Championships» will take place.
OnMay 10, the «1st Online Daedo Open European Poomsae Championships» ended. Competitions were held in the traditional poomsae section for all age categories.
In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the Republic of Korea decided not to host the final round of the annual tournament «Korean Ambassador’s Cup» in 2020.
Taekwondo Europe has proposed initiative of «1st Online Daedo Open European Poomsae Championships».
Last weekend, the Ukrainian Taekwondo Championship (WT) was held among hearing-impaired athletes.

February 15-16, 2020, annual tournament «German Open Poomsae 2020» will take place in Hamburg (Germany). We wish success to our Ukraine Taekwondo Union national team, which will participate in this tournament!
On January 17, 2020, regular General meeting of the Public Union “Ukraine Taekwondo Union” was held in Kyiv.
A number of important issues were considered, the following decisions were made: a new version of the Regulations on UTU separate divisions was approved; 3 regional federations were included as UTU collective members.
Delegates of UTU separate divisions were given the task to make suggestions regarding the UTU membership fee system for the formation of the membership fee Regulation.
On January 18-19, 2020, the UTU referee seminar on kyorugi and poomsae was held. During the seminar, many practical issues were considered, the solution of which the participants found in the process of a business game.
Dear coaches, on the WorldTaekwondoEurope website you can find information about obtaining a WT COACH license. In 2021, the WT Coach license will be mandatory and it will replace the WTE trainer license from 01/01/2021.
In 2020, you still need a WTE trainer license to train on WTE promotional and sanctioned events. The link will provide you with a list of frequently asked questions.

WTE OPEN EUROPEAN KIDS CHAMPIONSHIPS
«On December 7-8, 2019, Ukraine Taekwondo Union youth poomsae team participated in taekwondo (WT) tournament «Internation Park Pokal» and championship «WTE Open European Kids Championships» for children that took place in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Now the champion list of Ukrainian athletes in poomsae section of taekwondo was supplemented with six European champions among children! We congratulate our athletes and their coaches and express our gratitude to the president of the Ukraine Taekwondo Union for financial assistance of the youth national team participation in these competitions.»
THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE, YOUTH AND SPORTS OF UKRAINE COMMISSION DECISION
Dear taekwondo friends!
We inform you that in accordance with the decisions of the Commercial Court of Kiev of June 20, 2019 and the North Commercial Court of Appeal of September 18, 2019 in case No. 910/4414/19, the commission of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine decided to terminate the contract with the public organization «Ukraine Taekwondo Federation» and to deprive this organization of national status.
Further, a contest will be held to assign this status to another organization.
«November 23 — the first taekwondo (WT) tournament «Сup of Boryspil Сity» took place in Boryspil.
About 300 athletes from Kyivska region, Kyiv, Odessa, Uzhhorod came to participate in this competition, that included poomsae and kyorugi for all age categories.»

The annual taekwondo international tournament for children “Korean Ambassador’s Cup 2019” was held in Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute sports complex on May 12. New ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Kwon Ki-Chang, visited tournament opening ceremony that was his first event in the diplomatic service in Ukraine.

The largest international poomsae tournament in Europe «German Open Poomsae 2019» was held in Hamburg on February 9-10. About 400 athletes took place in this tournament that represented 47 teams from 18 countries. All the strongest European athletes competed.
