THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY TAEKWONDO TOURNAMENT KYIV OPEN WILL TAKE PLACE ON NOVEMBER 13

          The 5th anniversary taekwondo tournament Kyiv Open will take place on November 13.International taekwondo tournament “Kyiv Open” will be held on November 13 in the sports complex «Veneto-Sport» (former sports comples «Meridian», 11V Heroiv Sevastopolia Str., Kyiv). This year, nearly 220 athletes from all over Ukraine will take part in the event. The organizers ensure that all safety standards are met in accordance with the requirements of the adaptive quarantine.

Competition will be held in kyorugi section. Athletes in 5 age categories from 6 to 18 years old will fight for the victory:

— Kids 1 (2014-2013);

— Kids 2 (2012-2011); 

— Youths (2010-2009); 

— Cadets (2008-2006);

— Juniors (2005-2003);

Popularization of martial arts as an art and philosophy among young people – is a high and ambitious goal of our tournament. We are holding the 5th anniversary Kyiv Open without spectators, because we comply with the current epidemiological norms of the Cabinet of Ministers, – comments by the UTU Secretary General, tournament director Yuriy Gutov. – Sport is a health and always a holiday. Therefore, this year the audience will be able to share the holiday with us online!”

Kyiv Open history begins in 2013. During its existence, more than 1200 athletes from all regions of Ukraine, as well as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Belarus took part in the competition. Over the years the tournament was attended by: the President of the National Olympic Committee Serhii Bubka, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Kim In-Czhun (2013) and consuls of the embassy of the Republic of Korea in Ukraine, the President of Samsung Ukraine, city officials, head coaches of the Spain Taekwondo Federation.
